Ingredients

1 full rack baby back pork ribs

cracked black pepper to taste

marinade:
-
1 c soy sauce
-
1/4 c hoisin sauce
-
1 t five spice
-
4-5 cloves minced garlic
-
2 t lemon juice
-
2 T vegetable oil
Directions

Cut the rack of ribs in half, sprinkle with cracked black pepper and place the halves in a large zip top plastic bag.

Whisk together the marinade ingredients.

Pour marinade over the ribs, remove excess air and seal the bag tightly.

Marinate overnight in the refridgerator.

When ready to cook, preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Remove ribs from the refridgerator and allow to sit out while the oven is preheating.

Place ribs on cookie sheet or shallow roasting pan.

Pour marinade over ribs.

Add enough water to the pan to cover the bottom.

Cover with aluminum foil.

Roast at 300 degrees for 1 3/4 hours.

Remove aluminum foil and allow ribs to roast uncovered for 30-45 minutes.

Serve as is or with a favorite barbeque sauce (warmed) on the side.
